Scumbag Blue Jays Fan Robs Man Who Asked Him to Turn Down Music

Most public transportation regulars live by a strict code: no small talk, keep the music down, and don’t sit next to someone if you don’t have to. Pretty simple stuff, but as well know by now, not everyone possesses common sense.

For instance, two assholes riding on a Toronto bus were offenders of the loud music rule, and were asked to tone it down by a fellow passenger. But instead of staying low key and turning down their tunes, the two opted to berate the man before assaulting and robbing him after he got off the bus.

Details from CityNews:

The two men were playing loud music and another man asked them to lower it. The two men became very agitated and began to yell and swear at the man.

The man got off the bus at Lawrence Avenue West and was followed by the other two men.

The two men then attacked him and stole his property. They then fled on foot.

All of this violence because some guy didn’t want to hear bad music being played aloud on iPhone or iPad speakers.

Both of the suspects are in the 18-25 age range, with one of them earning some notoriety because of the Blue Jays hat worn during the incident.

If you’re a baseball fan who is all about preserving the game’s unwritten rules, we here at BC would advise you to shy away from this year’s installment of MLB The Show 16. Why? No big reason… other than Jose Bautista’s epic postseason bat flip is featured in the game.

Game footage via Operation Sports’ Steve Noah:

You hear that sound? It’s the Texas Rangers still crying about poisoning the youths.

Here’s another view of virtual Joey Bats doing his thing:

The MLB seems to make hats for every holiday, so it comes as no surprise that Lids is currently selling “St. Patty’s Diamond Era” caps for St. Patrick’s Day. For just $37.99, you can show the world that you support your squad and alcohol!

But if you’re a Blue Jays fan who also enjoys getting stoned, you can express your love for marijuana as well, because the designers of the hat accidentally made the maple leaf look like a pot leaf:

hwl

The back of the hat does feature the Blue jays logo, but there’s also another mini pot leaf:

Who knows, maybe the MLB is finally looking to adjust their outdated — and harsh — marijuana policy.

Kevin Pillar Nails a Target Carried By Drone

If the MLB ever wants to expand their All-Star activities beyond the home run derby, they should definitely look into a skills competition.

I mean, just take a look at this video of Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar effortlessly taking out some targets from the outfield. I could watch that crap all day. The only thing that would’ve made this better was if Pillar actually took down the drone — and we all know he could have:

Seriously, let’s gather up all the outfielders with cannon arms (Pillar, Yoenis Cespedes, Alex Gordon, etc.) ASAP. This could be baseball’s version of the three-point contest.

It’s only his second game of the season, but Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar has already notched his first highlight catch of the season.

During the bottom of the seventh inning, Pillar went all out to track down a line drive off the bat of Steve Pearce. As you can see below, he paid the price for the out:

Blue Jays Fan Fight 2016 Video

Ahhh, there are the crazy Blue Jays fans I fell in love with years ago. It was fight night Tuesday at the Skydome where a couple of guys threw a few punches in a fun fan fight. Nothing out of the ordinary here. You mix a few beers, a guy in a Josh Donaldson gamer, plus youth and you have the ingredients for Blue Jays fans in their element.

Here we go with the Blue Jays game fight:

Different angle with Yankees fan using “bro” about every other word.

There was a time a few years ago when there would be an incident per game from Blue Jays fan. I was posting upper deck fights pretty much on a daily basis. I’m pretty sure that was the year Puking Blue Jays fan let loose.

Jose Bautista and Umpire Engage in Fierce Staring Contest

If you’re an umpire with a shitty strike zone, you better believe Jose Bautista is going to call you out for it. Just ask Vic Carapazza — he was on the receiving end of a Joey Bats death stare during the ALDS:

Dan Bellino was the latest umpire to tango with the Blue Jays slugger, as he and Bautista stared daggers at each other after an at-bat that featured some questionable strike calls:

I’m usually in favor of umpires doing their jobs and not trying to be the center of attention, but damn, that’s some interesting TV right there.

Watch The Rangers And Blue Jays Brawl And Forget The Ball Is Still In Play

Our first big baseball brawl of the season happened this afternoon in the 8th inning of the Blue Jays-Rangers game. It all started when Jose Bautista slid hard into second to take out Rougned Odor, who then got pissed and from there an all out brawl ensued. Let’s break it down.

The Slide

Pretty basic take out slide, but with the new rules it’s definitely illegal and definitely pissed off Odor.

The Punch

Strong chin by Bautista. Took it right in the face like a boxer.

While all of this was going on, they forgot the ball was in play

The take out slide definitely worked because it was a terrible throw by Odor, but everyone just left the ball there. They probably could’ve snuck in that second out if someone would’ve remembered.

All in all it was a FANTASTIC first brawl of the season. I’m looking forward to more of these.

That Was Astros Superfan Terann Hilow Behind Home Plate At Last Night’s Game

Terann Hilow Astros Game

Houston sports superfan Terann Hilow IS BACK! It’s not that she’s gone anywhere, but Hilow is back to making headlines after appearing last night across Canada in her custom made Astros gear while cheering a 3-2 count with two outs in the 9th. Those of you who’ve been around BC for years know that Terann shot to fame on this site via her custom NFL bikinis that turned her into an overnight star.

Last night Terann pulled off what I’ve been preaching for years. MLB needs ringers behind home plate. Create buzz with IG models or successful ladies like Terann who is insanely passionate about the Astros. Her Astros modeling work speaks for itself. She’s the ultimate ambassador.

Terann and BC go back to 2014 when she debuted the NFL bikinis.

You might also remember that Terann scored a 1300 on the SAT in 8th grade. I’ll try to get her to do the podcast to hear what she’s up to these days. The last I heard she had a day job.

Jose Bautista’s Bat Flip From The ALDS Has Been Turned Into A Corn Maze

The actual bat flip of the century (we tend to exaggerate and call a lot of them that) happened last year in October in Game 5 of the ALDS. You might remember how bananas that game was. Jose Bautista cranked a go-ahead 3 run shot in 7th inning and provided us with one of the most disrespectful/awesome things I’ve seen on a baseball field.

Guess what? Now it’s a corn maze.

I don’t know why it took this long, but here we are. Maybe it’s because the Blue Jays are leading the Al East right now as we get closer to the playoffs. Who knows, but it’s pretty sweet.

These sports corn mazes have been happening for a while now and this is just the latest and greatest. Maybe it’ll spark the Jays for another post-season run.

It was Kareem Abdul Becky who threw the beer at Orioles left fielder Hyun-Soo Kim, says a guy on YouTube who is examining video feeds and has concluded that’s her air hooking a bottle onto the field. Then we have others who’re saying they figured out the mystery and it’s a guy who clearly launches.

Others say it was clearly a guy who launched the projectile.

Noooooo…it was this guy!

Others are saying it wasn’t that guy because in a shot seconds later he has a beer

Toronto Police Release Photo of Scumbag Beer Thrower

Earlier today, BC Joe did a rundown on the potential suspects in the Hyun-soo Kim beer-throwing incident.

There were three people in play: a woman, a guy who looked like he might’ve been hiding behind another fan in a white cap, and the weird hairline guy above.

Toronto Police officially released a photo of the suspect a couple hours ago, and surprise… it’s the odd hairline guy who looks guilty AF:

According to the Toronto Star, the scumbag will be banned from the Rogers Centre once identified. The Toronto Sun actually has a $1,000 reward out to anyone who can provide information that will lead to an arrest.

Of course, we’re kind of expecting the same behavior from Jays fans in the ALDS considering the Texas Rangers and Rougned Odor will be headed to town next week.

The Indians-Blue Jays ALCS matchup doesn’t get going until Friday, but it looks like Game 2 starter Trevor Bauer is going to keep things interesting for us on social media until then.

Bauer, of course, has jabbed our neighbors up north before — he dropped this lit tweet after a strong relief performance (in a 19-inning victory over the Jays) on Canada day:

And Bauer was back to pushing buttons on Tuesday with his “protein of choice:”

That expectedly brought out some salty Jays fans, but they were promptly taken out to the shed:

My god, Mcmannus… do better.

Keep the tweets coming, Canadians — Bauer’s ready for them:

Blue Jays Fans Fighting Blue Jays Fans At Game 3 Of ALCS

You know how much enjoyment I’m getting watching the Blue Jays take L after L after L in the ALCS? I can’t stop enjoying it and laughing. And this is coming from a Reds fan who definitely doesn’t want the Indians to prosper because then Cleveland jerkoffs just continuously run their mouths. Yes, I’m rooting for Cubs-Indians in the Series and a Cubs win. I want the Indians to be the team with the longest streak.

That said, I can’t help but enjoy Canada imploding before our eyes. The good ol Canadians who love nothing more than to lecture Americans on their behavior just imploding before our eyes. Throwing beer bottles onto the field. Making embarrassing signs to attempt to rattle the Indians. Lecturing the Indians on their mascot.

And last night…the ultimate implode. Blue Jays fans throwing bombs at each other in what appears to be the 100 level seats. Dropping f-bombs (dirty…dirty mouths…you’re better than this Canada) on each other. Acting like animals.

Hasn’t been a good week, Canada. One more L and you can start caring about the Leafs and producing more Property Brothers & Holmes Makes It Right episodes.

So sad:

Meet Blue Jays Fan Natalie Gauvreau

We used to do this thing on BC where we’d find the hottest fans of teams in the playoffs and then post about that fan, create a little buzz for that woman and the game. Then, at some point, we started to get away from that format because there was a new wave of BC readers who’re so sensitive to a hot chick being posted on a blog. There’s a whole new generation of readers who literally get all nervous that there’s a hot chick on a website. You been to Playboy lately? They have literally scrubbed the entire site of hot chicks.

The one thing I’ve learned over the nearly nine years since I started BC, it’s that when the Internet heads in one direction, you head in the other. That’s the BC way and it has worked so far.

That brings us to Natalie Gauvreau – Toronto Blue Jays fan. She’s our ALCS Game 4 Girl. That bad news for Toronto is that the Jays are down 3-0. The good news is that I made an editorial decision to bring back the playoff girls. That means you get to meet Natalie, a Canadian native who was raised five hours north of Toronto (example: North Bay, Ontario is four hours north and it’s in the middle of nowhere), says in her bio that she eats “everything and anything” and “in high school I got sent to the principals office daily for violating the stupid dress code!”

Now she has nearly a million IG followers and a modeling career.

More from Natalie’s bio:

• Favorite shows: All the Real housewives shows, The Bachelor

• Loves getting massaged

• Florida Panthers fan

• Has enough onscreen experience to have an IMdB page

Meet Blue Jays Fan Katie Lynn Page

I said on Tuesday that we were going back to posting hot chicks for the MLB playoffs since other sites out there won’t do it these days. Like I said, when they zig, we have to zag. So that meant Natalie was featured for Game 3 and the Blue Jays won. Today it’s Katie Lynn Page’s turn to be the miracle worker. (I’m rooting for Game 7s and then for the Indians to win in 16 innings.)

Katie Lynn is much more active with the Blue Jays gear than Natalie. She seems to be on an every three months routine with the BJs gear and even more active now that it’s the playoffs.

What do we know about Katie Lynn? She lives in Toronto, spends a bunch of time in the U.S. because we have beaches and Vegas. It looks like she used to work as a Budweiser Girl. It also looks like she’s spent some time in Calgary doing the country thing.

This is the beauty of being an IG model. You can literally leave the bio behind and just be this random IG wearing Blue Jays gear. One thing could lead to another and you’re featured on 5-6 blogs across the U.S. and end up as a Vegas pool waitress or one of Manziel’s weekend slam pieces.

We Had Our First Fake MLB Fight Of The Season This Afternoon

$

Every baseball season we’ll get one or two real fights with real punches being thrown. Last year’s biggie was obviously Rougned Odor blasting Jose Bautista in the face. But outside of that we’ll have dozens of fake fights. That’s when a couple guys start jawing, their teammates hold them back a little bit, and the benches clear without anything actually happening.

Our first one this year comes from this afternoon’s Blue Jays-Rays game.

No punches thrown, no real shoving, just a lot of “hold me backs”. A classic baseball “fight”. Not even one ejection.

If baseball wants to keep our attention this early in the season, we need to see some hands flying.

Blue Jays Fan Who Threw Beer at Hyun Soo Kim Banned From MLB Games

Last October, Blue Jays fan Ken Pagan momentarily ruined Canada’s friendly reputation when he lobbed a beer can at Orioles outfielder Hyun Soo Kim during the AL Wild Card game. In case you don’t recall this bad moment in sports fandom, Pagan actually came pretty close to nailing Kim:

Pagan, a former sports reporter, faced justice for his actions on Wednesday as he was hit 12 months probation — details from The Toronto Star:

Pagan was given a conditional discharge, which means he will be spared a criminal record if he complies with his 12-month probation.

The Crown had sought a criminal conviction, arguing it was needed to send a message of public deterrence.

Under terms of his probation, Pagan must perform at least 10 hours of community service a month.

He is also barred from attending any Major League Baseball games. The Blue Jays have already banned him from the Rogers Centre.

What has Pagan been up to since the beer throwing? Well, the report notes he has worked as a pizza driver and janitor so yeah… you could argue that the man has been punished enough.

Field reporters get drenched with sports beverages all the time, but Sportsnet’s Hazel Mae really got it bad this afternoon when reliever Ryan Tepera absolutely misfired on this orange Gatorade bath meant for first baseman Justin Smoak.

And when we say got it bad, we’re talking a whole lot of sugar water right in the face:

You know it’s bad when she can’t even finish up the interview. She had some thoughts on reliever Ryan Tepera’s aim:

On the plus side, Jays players will probably be mindful to never let this happen again:

Former Blue Jays and Phillies Ace Roy Halladay Dies in Plane Crash

Former MLB pitcher Roy “Doc” Halladay passed away today after crashing his ICON A5 aircraft into the Gulf of Mexico. The Pasco Sherrif’s Office confirmed the grim news:

Additional details on the crash (via ESPN):

Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said during a news conference that Halladay’s Icon A5, a small single-engine aircraft, went down about noon Tuesday near Holiday, Florida.

The sheriff’s office marine unit responded to the downed plane and found Halladay’s body. No survivors were found. They said they couldn’t confirm whether there were additional passengers on the plane or say where it was headed.

Halladay became a flying enthusiast in his post-baseball life, and showed off the purchase of his ICON A5 on Twitter last month. He said owning one of these was a dream since he retired:

Go on Halladay’s Twitter page and you’ll see a lot of his recent tweets deal with flying:

As far as Halladay’s accolades are concerned, you guys already know the deal: Eight All-Star Game appearances, two Cy Young Awards, pitched a no-hitter in the postseason with the Phillies in 2010, etc. Basically he was a beast, and was so from 2001-2011.

The statements from the Phillies and Blue Jays:
